NORTHWEST CHURCH OF CHRIST
6069 Azle Avenue
Fort Worth, Texas
Chip O'Neil
(click here for larger image of building)
Minister, Chip O'Neil, along with Ed Cope, on the Building Committee, interviewed several roofing contractors and considered different roofing systems before choosing Longhorn Urethane Contractors, Inc. Mr. O'Neil advised us that we were chosen due to our excellent past history with other churches in the North Texas area. Most churches that were contacted on the reference list had similar problems to the one at the Northwest Church of Christ, such as high energy costs, as a result of the very high ceiling in the sanctuary and and existing roof that offered absolutely no R value. As a result, Northwest Church of Christ is currently budgeting the remainder of their building for the SPF in the future. |

WILLIAMSON DICKIE MFG.CO.
Gary Schimmel
(click here for larger image of building)
Built in the early 1900's, this building has a concrete deck. This presented many problems as a result of cracking, condensation etc. After years of problems, Gary Schimmel turned to us for a SPF system. Due to weather conditions, the existing bur was vacuumed and thoroughly cleaned. The SPF was installed directly over the existing bur, saving thousands of dollars in tear-off and hauling off of debris charges. In addition, Williamson Dickie Mfg. Co. was never exposed to an open roof. Mr. Schimmel has been one of our biggest supporters since this project was completed in 1993.

LEE LOCKWOOD LIBRARY
Waco, Texas
Bob Scott
(click here for larger image of building)
One of the Scottish Rite Foundations most treasured structures. This building is available for use to thousands of Masons and their families state wide. However, this building had continuous leak problems. From the time of construction, Bob Scott and Karl May looked at a number of different roof systems before choosing Long horn Urethane Contractors, Inc. As a result, we installed systems on several buildings in the Waco and Dallas are for the Scottish Rite Foundation, all with excellent results. They experienced energy savings by as much as 15% with the leak proof, warranted system, by Neogard, a division of the Jones Blair Co., one of the oldest and most respected manufacturers of roof coatings. The Lee Lockwood Library has a 2" thick polyurethane membrane with 35 mils of Neogard urethane #70611 coating. This is the "top of the line" roofing system.

UNITED DISTRIBUTING
1133 Empire Central
Dallas, Texas
OWNERS: Jerry and Diane Mobley
(click here for larger image of building)
This structure suffered from an all too common problem, due to soil movement and settling, the bur was ponding approximately 4" of water on the entire roof system. This was causing extremely high load levels with the collapsing of the roof a possibility. United Distributing maintenance workers were continually using electric pumps to keep the water off of the building. The problem was so severe that the owner, Jerry Mobley, literally had to drive from his home to the business during severe storms to start the electric pumps in order to prevent a "cave in" of the roof. Mr. Mobley turned to Longhorn Urethane Contractors Inc., for a SPF system due to our ability to build up the low areas with additional foam in order to improve drainage and prevent the ponding of water. One this project, 3" of polyurethane foam was installed, sloping to 1" in order to correct the problem. The Mobley's have been able to put away the electric pumps for good due to this system.

Waco, Texas
Bob Finley
(click here for larger image of building)
Built in 1908, this is one of Waco's oldest structures in the downtown historical district. Bob Finley, with York Rite, chose Longhorn Urethane Contractors, Inc. after witnessing the excellent performance at the Scottish Rite Foundation's Lee Lockwood Museum & Library project. This project called for 1 1/2" of polyurethane foam membrane with United Coating's roof diathon coating. This roof, with the Diathon elastomeric coating, has been a maintenance free performer for many years.
